Frederick County Workforce Services, along with the Frederick County Workforce Development Board, offers yearly academic scholarships to Frederick County students, 17-21 years of age that are majoring in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math career field. Eligibility is based on financial need and the significant barriers/hardships that have been overcome to achieve educational goals.

In addition to our scholarship, we also offer listings of other scholarships in the community relating to workforce development and beyond. Through our partnership with the Community Foundation of Frederick County, we have full access to their listing of scholarship opportunities. Youth Services Specialists have also worked with students in completing FAFSA forms, reviewing scholarship essays, and critiquing professional statements.
