Youth Advisory Team
 /

The Youth Advisory Team (YAT) is a unique program that gives students the opportunity to voice their thoughts, opinions, and feedback to those individuals in Frederick County making decisions about the future.

The Annual Teen Summit is one of the main activities the YAT designs and implements.

Each year, one or two YAT members are selected to also serve on the Youth Council of the Frederick County Workforce Development Board.

The Youth Council is a diverse group of youth service providers, business leaders and workforce professionals dedicated to listening and acting on suggestions given to them by the youth of Frederick County.

A few goals of the Youth Council are creating a Workforce Development Leadership Program, rewarding academic scholarships, maintaining oversight of the Workforce Investment Act Grant, and overseeing the design of workforce services to youth.

For more information about the Youth Advisory Team and/or the Youth Council, please call (301) 600-2255 or email fcws@frederickworks.com.
