Expanding Your Employment Options

By Wes Leatherman, Business and Employment Consultant | Frederick County Workforce Services

Finding a job has everything to do with getting your resume in front of the employer.

As a job seeker, when you apply for a position, you submit your resume with the hope that it will land in front of the hiring manager. However, for most job seekers, it often feels like your resume has been submitted into the abyss of the automated Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

Searching and applying for a job would be so much easier if there was someone who could help to improve the chances that your resume will be seen. Lucky for you – there is. Frederick County Workforce Services has a dedicated Business Team that works with hundreds of local employers across all industries. On a daily basis, the Business Team assists these employers with their workforce needs; everything from recruitment and hiring to training and pipeline development. The team is consistently engaging and building ongoing relationships with our local employers. Every day, the Workforce Services Business Team puts resumes directly in front of employers.

Help the Business Team help you.

For an opportunity to get YOUR resume in front of local employers, we invite you to take a few minutes to complete a brief candidate profile form. Submitting a candidate profile will not guarantee consideration for a position, but it will allow our Business Team to share your information with prospective employers who are hiring now!

Whether or not you are considered for a particular role will depend upon the positions the team is working with at the time your resume is submitted. The team will review your submission to determine whether your work experience, skills and education aligns with the position(s) we are helping employers to fill.

Submit the best version of you.

Don’t have a resume? Maybe your resume is not up to date, or maybe your resume is presently targeted for a job or industry you no longer want to be in. If that’s the case, we can help.
