MD EARN Grant to Support Cyber Security Training

Exposure to cyber threat poses a significant risk to businesses, and data breaches can cause massive damage for small businesses in particular, who are the #1 target for cybercriminals. As the use of technology increases, so does the risk. Businesses will need to respond with aggressive risk mitigation strategies. According to Economic Modeling, LLC (EMSI), the demand for Cyber Security Analysts in Maryland grew 59% from 2014 -2019 and forecasts predict continued growth over the next 5 years.

The program will provide SOC Analyst training and prepare students to acquire the Comp TIA Security+ credential. During the second phase of the program, students will participate in an externship to gain real-world experience and operate in live environments on the latest A.I. and machine learning software. Through the EARN MD partnership, Transmosis is able to provide scholarships for students valued at approximately $10,000. See this press release for more information about this grant award.
