Highlights of Our Year

Investing in Our Community: Last year, we provided over $300,000 for training and skill development opportunities for both individuals and businesses. These investments are paving the way for a stronger, more skilled workforce, ready to meet the demands of our evolving job market and strengthen our local economy.

Personalized Career Guidance: Our team provided one-on-one career counseling to over 200 individuals. Whether through training or direct employment opportunities, these personalized sessions have helped many to take the next step in their career journeys and remove barriers to building a successful career.   An additional 600 people received assistance navigating their job search process through consultations, workshops, and on-demand support.

Supporting Local Businesses: We assisted approximately 350 local businesses, offering recruitment support, talent development strategies, labor market insights, and access to a pool of qualified candidates. Our partnerships with these businesses ensure that Frederick County remains a thriving hub of economic activity.

Empowering Youth and Young Adults: More than 100 youth and young adults benefited from our programs, which focus on work readiness and connecting them with local businesses. By equipping the next generation with essential skills, we are helping to build a sustainable future workforce.

Beyond the work of our dedicated staff, the strength of our workforce development system lies in the partnerships we’ve cultivated throughout the community. Together with a network of community partners, we are committed to breaking down barriers to self-sustainability and helping people develop the skills needed to secure meaningful and fulfilling careers.

As we look ahead to the coming year, we remain steadfast in our mission to support both individuals and businesses in Frederick County. Together, we will continue to create opportunities, foster growth, and build a resilient and dynamic workforce that can thrive in the face of any challenge.
