February Celebrates Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month
CTE month is a time to recognize the growing number of students who are exploring technical training instead of pursuing a traditional college route. It’s important to acknowledge that college is not the right fit for everyone. In Maryland, schools are now in the second year of implementing the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, which helps students determine whether college or a career path is the best fit for them.
One key aspect of the Blueprint is exposing students to employers and career opportunities, giving them a clearer understanding of their potential future paths.
For employers, the Blueprint creates an opportunity to get your business in front of students. Why is that important? This is an avenue to engage students and develop your talent pipeline. Oftentimes, employers say they wish they could get in front of middle schoolers and high schoolers – this is how. Learn more and get involved.
