On-the-Job Training for Job Seekers
Unlock Your Potential
Are you searching for a job but feel like you're missing some key skills? On-the-Job Training (OJT) might be the perfect fit for you.
The OJT program allows you to start working in a role while receiving hands-on training to address any skill gaps. This approach helps you gain the necessary skills to fully meet the job responsibilities and achieve long-term employment.
Offered exclusively for Frederick County residents, the OJT program provides a valuable opportunity to build essential skills and secure meaningful, long-term employment.
How It Works
Full-Time Employment: Begin as a full-time employee with a participating business.
On-Site Training: Receive hands-on training to develop the skills needed for your new role. You may already possess some of the skills required for the position, but not all. Career Growth: Prepare for long-term employment in vacant positions within the business.
Additional Support and Business Benefits
Business Incentive: Employers benefit from reimbursement of a portion of wages during the training phase, making it an attractive incentive for businesses to participate.
