In our current unemployment market, access to a qualified talent pool is critical for employers.

On Tuesday, March 24, employers in Frederick will have an opportunity to engage directly with local talent in a unique way during the Frederick County Reverse Job Fair. This event will be held at the Arc of Frederick County and is being hosted jointly by a number of community agencies, including Community Living, Inc.Community OptionsMSDE DORSthe Freedom CenterGoodwill Industries of Monocacy Valleythe Scott Key Centerthe SUCCESS Program, and Way Station.

During the Reverse Job Fair, participating employers will “flip roles” as they walk around the venue, visiting different tables and meeting job seekers to learn about their abilities and experiences.  Currently, there are approximately 40 job seekers who are planning to participate in the event; they will each have a personalized display as well as materials to hand out that will showcase their strengths and talents.

As part of this role reversal, employers will introduce themselves, then present and discuss their current openings while engaging with job seekers.  Employers are encouraged to check out each table’s presentations to learn how the job seeker may be a potential fit for their organization.

Participating job candidates have expressed interest in the following job opportunities; if your organization is hiring for these positions, you’re invited to register at www.FrederickReverseJobFair.com.
